On title page is a note: A present sent to me by the author, may Hashem safeguard him- the Rav, to me: the young Channanel ben Kvod HaRav Yehoshua Badrashi.
Hagaon Rav Channanel Badrashi , one of the Chachomim of Salonika, son of Rav Yehoshua Badrashi, son of Rav Yitzchak Badrashi. He published the sefer of his father, called "Arugas Habosem"
(Salonika 5553). Passed away in 5564 (Salonika Tombstones, # 1663). His handwritten signature is found on pages 1,1 and at end.
