A Gan Iron Snake Ex Kahan Gallery
A Forged Iron Snake effigy, possibly a shrine object or a currency form, heavily weathered and with a wonderful twisted form. The serpent measures 5.5 x 5.25 inches and is custom mounted. Gan peoples, Burkina faso, West Africa. Provenance: Ex Leonard Kahan Gallery, New York, 1980s, also Mcconnell collection VA and CA.
