Булгаков, М. Мастер и Маргарита. Роман. 4-е изд. Франкфурт-на-Майне: Посев, 1980. 500 с. 15 × 10 см. Малоформатное издание на папиросной бумаге. В издательском переплете. Из предисловия «От издательства»: «...При наборе мы, для облегчения позднейших анализов текста и исследований замечательного произведения Булгакова, выделили все выброшенные цензурой места курсивом, а цензорские „связки“ взяли в квадратные скобки...».
Впервые роман был опубликован в журнале «Москва» в 1966-1967 гг. (№ 11 и № 1 соответственно) с многочисленными цензурными и редакторскими купюрами. В 1967 г. в Париже издательство YMCA-Press выпустило в свет первое бесцензурное издание романа, а в 1969 и 1980г. во Франкфурте -на-Майне роман был издан беспрецедентным образом: купюры, сделанные в ходе его публикации в журнале «Москва», были набраны курсивом. В издательском коленкоровым переплете с тиснением золотом.

When typing, we, to facilitate later analyzes of the text and studies of Bulgakov's remarkable work, highlighted all the passages thrown out by the censorship in italics, and took the censor's "ligaments" in square brackets ...".
The novel was first published in the Moscow magazine in 1966-1967. (No. 11 and No. 1, respectively) with numerous censorship and editorial cuts. In 1967, in Paris, YMCA-Press published the first uncensored edition of the novel, and in 1969 and 1980. in Frankfurt am Main, the novel was published in an unprecedented way: the cuts made during its publication in the magazine Moskva were typed in italics.
