Последний поэтический сборник Дона-Аминадо (после Второй мировой войны печатался как Д. Аминадо, настоящее имя — Аминодав Пейсахович Шполянский; 1888–1957) — русского поэта-сатирика, мемуариста, адвоката. В книгу наряду с лирическими стихотворениями о дореволюционной России и картинками эмигрантского быта, вошли афоризмы. В отличие от предыдущих, они более философичны: исчезли злободневные намеки на Гитлера и Сталина, появились общечеловеческие мотивы и ностальгические ноты. Фактически книга посвящена судьбе своего поколения и состояла, в основном, из довоенных произведений.

The last poetry collection of Don-Aminado (after the Second World War it was published as D. Aminado, real name - Aminodav Peisakhovich Shpolyansky; 1888-1957) - Russian satirist poet, memoirist, lawyer. The book, along with lyrical poems about pre-revolutionary Russia and pictures of emigrant life, includes aphorisms. Unlike the previous ones, they are more philosophical: topical allusions to Hitler and Stalin have disappeared, universal motives and nostalgic notes have appeared. In fact, the book is dedicated to the fate of his generation and consisted mainly of pre-war works
