Pair of hand-raised footed goblets, J.H. Bowie, Baltimore, MD, working 1840-45, having lips decorated with single threaded band, thread decorated flange, and applied, molded foot with similar threaded decoration. These beautifully fashioned goblets are expertly finished and show no seams. Maker's mark ''J.H.BOWIE'' in rectangular cartouches on outer edge of each foot. 7-1/4''h, 3-3/4''dia. Total approximate weight 18.5 troy oz. Provenance: North Hill Antiques.
