J.W.L. FORSTER PAINTING IN NEWCOMB MACKLIN FRAME
John Wycliffe Lowes Forster (Canadian, 1887-1970), portrait of a seated woman, oil on canvas, signed 'JWL Forster' (lower left), mounted in a large (47x38in.) Newcomb Macklin stamped frame, canvas image 38x29in. Condition: UV light reveals an old repair with overpaint below right hand, some draw to upper right corner, craquelure, frame with a couple minor chips, rubs.
