"Remember the Prisoner's and Detainee's Day" - Poster Designed by Shamir Brothers
"Zechor et Yom Ha'Atzir veHa'Assir" [Hebrew: Remember the Prisoner's and Detainee's Day], an illustrated poster on behalf of "LeAsirenu" Association. "Aviva" lithographic printing, Tel-Aviv, [probably, 1947]. Design: Shamir Brothers (signed in the plate).
Illustration in color, portraying a man behind a barbed wire fence. The poster calls to mark the "Prisoner's and Detainee's Day" on Tamuz 11, and join the association "La'Asirenu" - an association founded by the Jewish National Council and was acting for Jewish prisoners and detainees during the last years of the British Mandate in Palestine (among other operations, the association acted to return to Palestine the Etzel and Lehi exiles).
68X48.5 cm. Good condition. Folding marks and creases. Some stains. Some holes and small tears. Slightly trimmed at the bottom margin, slightly affecting the printer information.
