A SET OF FOUR RUSSIAN 18TH CENTURY MINIATURE
A set of Russian portrait miniatures on ivory. With Russian writing on the back. Portraits are fixed in a metal frame. Despite the miniature size, the portraits are skillfully detailed, facial features and clothing elements, jewelry, and insignia are clearly expressed. There are portraits of Peter the Great, Catherine the Great, Count Alexander Borisovich Buturlin, and another unidentified Russian nobleman of the XVIII century (the signature on the back is present, but is unintelligible).
