This Winchester Model 1885 project gun in need of finishing shows a black blued high wall receiver, action, trigger, hammer & lever with a 30" octagon barrel in the white. The finely grained custom hardwood un-finished butt stock & custom hardwood forend are good overall with a Presentation Model Pachmayr red hard rubber butt pad/spacer creating a LOP of 13-3/4". The markings are sharp, the action is crisp & the bore/rifling are fine. Ready for the workbench where the barrel can be chamber cast for determination of the caliber of this rifle.
