Savage Model 23B Sporter bolt action magazine-fed rifle, .25-20 cal., 24" barrel, blue finish, smooth walnut one-piece pistol grip stock, knife blade front sight with the rear sight removed and filled, a Lyman Model 55S aperture sight has been added. Mfg 1923-1942, the rifle is in very good overall condition, retaining 75-80% thinning blue finish with wear at the muzzle, scratches and scrapes. The factory markings are sharp. The stock is in very good condition with indentations, scrapes and some minor water exposure at the butt creating staining around the perimeter of the butt plate. The butt ends with a blue steel "SAVAGE QUALITY" marked butt plate with the screaming brave logo, providing a 13.25" LOP. The action functions smoothly and the bore is very good with strong rifling.
