This Springfield Armory M1 Garand rifle, circa 1944 (re-bareled/dated "1-53"), is in very good to fine condition displaying approx 95% muted green military finish to the gun's parts with and adjustable rear "peep" sight & fixed blade front sight w/ "ears". The hardwood stock is good with pleasing grain patterns & scattered minor nicks, mars & scratches from handling, carry & storage. There is a circle "P" on the front of the semi-pistol grip, a hand scratched "G" on the base of that grip & a stamped proof of three stars over a spread eagle holding three crossed arrows on the left side of the stock above the trigger assembly. The markings are sharp, the action is crisp & the bore & rifling are fine.
