**Swedish Carl Gustafs M1896 Mauser
World War I, World War II
6.5x55mm. 29.1" barrel length. SN: 237288. Blued metal finish overall with polished bolt set in straight wrist walnut stock with half length upper handguard and mounting adjustable rear ladder and front blade sights. Bolt action internal magazine fed rifle featuring a brass conversion plate to the right butt. Top of the barrel struck with the {Crown/C} followed by maker marking CARL GUSTAFS STADS/GEVARSFAKTORI/1909, indicating it was made in Sweden by Carl Gustaf in 1909. Item features the standard Swedish {Crown} stamp to all components with matching serial numbers to metal parts. Comes with leather sling.

Condition
Very Good. Bore is Bright with crisp rifling throughout. Metal finish retains polish to bolt components with some lubricant residues and a gray patina forming on bolt handle. Blued finish displays some cycling wear with scattered scratches and mars over the receiver, and a continuous pattern of abrasions along the upper barre. Butt shows brown patina with some patched oxidation. Stock has some scattered dents and scratches, and a chip to the right edge of the stock by forward receiver.
