Lot of 6 British Bayonets Including: M1907 and No. 7 Mk.1/L
World War II
1.) No. 7 Mk. I/L - 8" blade. 12.5" overall. Single edge clipped point bayonet with false edge and offset fullers to both sides. Steel hilt has a swivel pommel, synthetic black grip panels, muzzle ring, and cleaning rod ring. Markings include No. 7 Mk. 1/L to ricasso.
2 & 3.) Wilkinson Pattern 1907 - 17" blade. 21.75" overall. Single edge straight blade with offset fullers. Steel hilt has walnut grip panels and muzzle ring. Markings include 1907 date, Wilkinson Pall Mall marks, and various British proofs.
4.) Australian Lithgow Pattern 1907 with Scabbard - 17" blade. 21.75" overall. Single edge straight blade with offset fullers. Steel hilt has walnut grip panels and muzzle ring. Markings include MA/1907/1 to ricasso, along with various British proofs. Includes brown painted leather scabbard with steel fittings, backside is marked MANGROVITE 42.
5.) Wilkinson Pattern 1907 with Scabbard - 17" blade. 21.75" overall. Single edge straight blade with offset fullers. Steel hilt has walnut grip panels and muzzle ring. Markings include 1907 date, Wilkinson Pall Mall marks, and various British proofs. Includes leather scabbard with steel fittings.
6.) Remington Pattern 1907 with Scabbard - 17" blade. 21.75" overall. Single edge straight blade with offset fullers. Steel hilt has grooved walnut grip panels and muzzle ring. Markings include 1913/5 17 date, Remington logo to left ricasso, and British proofs to obverse side. Pommel is also marked 280. Includes leather scabbard with steel fittings, marked MANGROVITE 43 on backside.
This lot is located in Cincinnati.
Condition
All items are in about good condition. Blades show mottled colorations, with scattered scratches, finish losses, and pitting overall. Grips show wear and scratching, as do scabbards.
