Tibetan book cover and manuscript text in Sanskrit, two carved and painted wood covers holding 19 loose illustrated leaves, all but two with writing on both sides, Gouache on wood and ink on hemp pulp paper, 17th or 18th century, 8.25 x 3 inches, outside of covers with rubbed and now indistinguishable pattern, each reverse showing three distinct figures, including Ganapati-like deity, couple in embrace and other many-handed deities, three leaves with inset illuminated miniature, each showing a seated many-handed deity.
