Taken when Yavno was making prints for The San Francisco Book 1948 with Herb Caen.
This is a classic San Francisco street view; cars, store signs, people walking.
Max Yavno (1911-1985) Born in New York a member of the Photo League he moved to California after World War II where he made his most celebrated views in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Condition: Excellent. Minor wear and handling marks
